Overview

Hire Resolve’s client is currently seeking a Professional Civil Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects in the Bellville/Paarl area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of essential infrastructure while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Plan, design, and manage municipal infrastructure projects, including water supply, piping systems, stormwater management, and development contributions (DCs).

Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and engineering assessments to inform project planning and design decisions.

Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications in accordance with regulatory standards and client requirements.

Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project implementation.

Oversee construction activities, provide technical guidance and support to site teams, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Conduct site inspections, quality control assessments, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to design specifications and regulatory requirements.

Prepare project reports, progress updates, and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.

Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders through effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSc Civil) from a recognized institution.

Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

5 to 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in Afrikaans language is essential for effective communication with clients and stakeholders in the Bellville/Paarl area.

Strong technical skills in engineering design, project management, and construction supervision.

Knowledge of relevant engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and project management.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements, standards, and guidelines governing municipal infrastructure projects in South Africa.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
