Salary: R 1,071,429 p.a.

• B Tech degree in Civil Engineering;
• Registration as a Pr Tech Eng.
• 5 - 8 years relevant post qualification experience at appropriate.
• Civil engineering design, analysis and review skills and associated experience throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentoring and knowledge transfer skills
• Form of Contract knowledge (JBCC, NEC, GCC, FIDIC)
• Scope preparation and review.
• A valid Code B driver’s licence
• Computer literacy: MS Office, Prokon;
  AutoCAD (Civil 3D); MS Project/Primavera P6

Provide professional municipal civil engineering services towards the scoping and feasibility design of Capital Coastal Infrastructure initiatives, coastal repair and refurbishments, and undertake specialist studies, assessment, analysis and services, in order to provide coastal infrastructure content towards the improvement of the quality of the environment for all citizens across the city and to ensure sustainable and fit-for-purpose projects.

Manage, develop and/or implement coastal projects to ensure successful execution; and ensure project tracking and monitoring functions and assess/analysis results obtained to ensure on time and on budget delivery.

Facilitating and managing the identification, impact and mitigation of actual and potential risks in the section and registered project environment, to ensure the effective management and control of the Coastal Programme/ Project Risk Management Structures and ensuring an acceptable level of risk to the City.

Manages the formulation of specific contracts and tender documentation and controls contractual obligations to ensure contractual terms and conditions entered into and agreed to, are complied with and specific responsibilities discharged with an acceptable level of risk to the City.
