Main purpose of the job:
Producing project time and resource schedules on Gantt and PERT charts. Monitoring and reporting on progress and forecasting project objectives to establish the best manner in which projects can be completed. Determining the Project Scope and the appropriate methods for completing the project and disseminating the project into project activities. Produce the relevant tools (dashboards, histograms etc.) to enable effective monitoring and control.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Education:
Grade 12 - Additional Qualifications:
Primavera and/or Candy, MS Projects - Minimum
Work Experience:
5-10 years
- Construction, methodologies and norms
- Bulk earthworks, Civils and Building
- OHTE & Electrical
- Attend tender programmes
- Tender office communication
- Manager:
Project is given feedback regularly - Email communication to all tender parties involved
- Report back at monthly project meetings and compile monthly project reports
- Establishing the most cost-effective construction methods and convert into a working programme model
- Co-ordinate schedule from multiple contributors and incorporate the information gathered into the overall Project Master Schedule
- Evaluate critical paths in project schedules and evaluate alternative schedule options to identify optimum project strategies or resolve problems before and during execution
- Report and analyses monthly deviations from plan
- Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress
- Align contractor schedules with baseline signed off schedules
- Develop Project Baseline Programme, major milestone indicators and network precedence with critical path
- Develop control schedules for daily activities
- Prepare action plan on deviations to targets with recommended remedial actions
- Monitor actual project progress, compare to baseline and report progress against schedule
- Develop Construction Programs using (Microsoft Projects/ Candy/ Primavera)
- Develop schedule base, project schedule plan and regularly update
- Develop and implement plan versus actual progress curves
- Propose and evaluate alternative action plans to correct project deviations
- Develop and maintain an integrated progress reporting system including schedules, S-curves, tables, milestones and earned value analysis
- Develop schedule base, project schedule plan and regularly update
- Facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting
- Prepare and issue updated project schedules to Manager:
Projects - Maintain Primavera project files
- Compile and monitor production reports and provide to management team for consideration
- Puts measures in place to monitor resources planning for all projects to assist with cash-flow and resource planning
- Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress
- Resource allocation and optimization reports
- Interact with project staff to obtain programme updates
- Email communication to Manager:
Project and stakeholders giving feedback on projects - Communicates completion of projects dates
