Field ISS Installation Engineer

As a Field ISS Installation Engineer, you'll be responsible for installing the entire network infrastructure and supporting systems on behalf of our customers. You will install equipment in client locations, ensure that the installation is done correctly and to spec and will support it with technical assistance when needed.
You should have experience working with remote devices such as routers, switches, or cameras as well as experience troubleshooting issues related to networks. The ideal candidate would also have a working knowledge of Linux servers (e.g., Red Hat) or Windows Server operating systems (e.g., IIS).

Requirements

• Must possess advanced knowledge of computer networks and systems integration.
• Competent with review and testing of network, electrical, mechanical, air conditioning, acoustical, and fire protection systems for military tactical operations, command and control applications, system to system communications, and tactical field operations.
• Provides technical support for customers by performing tasks such as configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining system components.
• Interfaces with customers in the field via telephone, email, and web based chat.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a project related field (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical, electronic) and an understanding of both the inner workings of a building and its environment.
• A minimum of one year of experience installing/operating a utility system on site required.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience as an Installation Engineer for a cable installation company.
• Must possess the ability to work effectively with others as well as independently.
