Senior Wind Engineer

Job Description

A reputable renewable energy firm is currently in search of a Senior Wind Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. Candidates must be experienced in the renewable energy sector specialising in wind energy (wind turbines).

Requirements:

• BSc:
Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering

• WASP completed courses

• 5-10 years’ experience holding a position as a Wind Engineer

• Identifying and developing new wind projects

• Experience in the complete development of project (lifecycle): Site identification, wind measuring campaign, environmental and permitting etc.)

• Experience in leading and management of a team of Engineers

• Experienced in the mesco-scale modelling of wind projects

• Experienced in wind data analysis, verification and micro-scale modelling of wind turbines
