The Role:

Mechanical Designer
This role exists to design and develop machinery solutions for FMCG production environments using Autodesk Inventor and VAULT. You will contribute across the full product lifecycle from concept modelling to prototype testing and refinement, ensuring that designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and manufacturing feasibility. The position requires close collaboration with engineers, production teams, and clients to deliver accurate, efficient, and innovative mechanical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Bring proven mechanical design experience within FMCG machinery environments

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor

• Design machinery components and assemblies aligned with specifications and industry standards

• Conceptualise, prototype, and refine mechanical designs throughout development

• Collaborate with engineers, production, and quality teams to support the full product lifecycle

• Produce technical documentation such as assembly instructions and maintenance manuals

• Conduct simulations and prototype testing to validate functionality and safety

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through efficient design and materials

• Engage with clients to understand requirements and address technical queries

• Ensure all designs comply with ISO, CE, FDA, and other relevant standards

About You

• Proven experience in mechanical design, specifically within FMCG machinery

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and VAULT

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills

• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

• Creative, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
