We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Palliative Care Consultant and Specialist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of providing comprehensive healthcare services.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Palliative Care Consultant and Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert palliative care services to patients with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on enhancing their quality of life and supporting their families through compassionate and holistic care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing patients with complex palliative care needs and developing individualised care plans.
- Providing expert consultation and management of symptoms such as pain, nausea, and dyspnea.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Offering emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and helping them cope with end-of-life issues.
- Educating healthcare staff and community members on palliative care principles and practices.
- Participating in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance palliative care services.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Board certification or equivalent in Palliative Medicine.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a Palliative Care.
- Strong clinical skills in pain and symptom management, psychosocial care, and end-of-life care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity.
- Fluency in English
