Senior Interior Designer – Specialising in Interior Architecture
Requirements:
- Min 5-10 years experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Sketch Up is a must
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of the interior design/interior architecture process
Job Description:
- Be responsible for a project from design development through to execution.
- Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor (QS), Builder, and various subcontractors.
- Attend all site meetings, site inspections, joinery/furniture factory meetings, etc
- Client Liaison:
Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction. - Procurement for projects – Source & select finishes, sanitaryware, ironmongery, etc.
- Drawing up the full set of working drawings in CAD, as well as creating schedules (Lighting, Sanitaryware, doors, ironmongery, finishes, etc).
- Constantly monitor the project BOQ
- Checking and signing off on all joinery & specialist shop drawings (pergola’s, pools, windows, doors, etc.)
- Min 2 years experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Sketch Up is a must
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of the interior design/interior architecture process
Job Description:
- Work with Senior Interior Designers on a project from design development through to execution.

- Effectively work as part of a larger team, contributing to a positive and collaborative environment.
- Effectively prioritize tasks and manage time to ensure project deadlines are met, while maintaining high-quality design standards.
- Keep accurate daily timesheets via Toggl or other designated system.
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
- Must reside in Cape Town, South Africa
- Bachelor’s degree or other tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline
- Must have reliable car to go to site meetings etc
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel locally and internationally for projects
- Demonstrate commitment to excellence in design & design execution
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of the decorating process
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team oriented, collaborative environment
- Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
- Required to provide contactable references
Working hours are 9am – 6pm, Monday to Friday at our office in Bree Street, Cape Town.
