Salary: R20 – R25 000 pm (Negotiable on experience & qualifications)

Our client’s Tour Operation, based in Cape Town, is looking for an experienced Reservations/Operations Consultant. Excellent communication, planning, organisational skills, problem‑solving, multi‑tasking and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. The role is office‑based with standard hours, requiring flexibility for day shifts. Candidates must own reliable transport and reside in Cape Town.

Criteria
  • Reservations and Operations experience in the tourism industry (minimum 3 years)
  • Relevant diploma or degree
  • In‑depth knowledge of Cape Town hotels and tours on offer
  • Proficiency in MS Office; training will be provided on the in‑house booking system (tailor‑made)
  • Own reliable transport, Cape Town resident
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Work closely with tour guides and operators to build on existing relationships.
  • Manage emails, Whats App messages and bookings from operators; capture data and communicate textually in an organised and efficient manner.
  • Answer telephone calls and Whats App messages, representing the company professionally and competently.
  • Brief tour guides thoroughly regarding expense sheets, passenger lists and itineraries.
  • Cash up for the tour guides and manage cash responsibly.
  • Generate expense sheets, passenger lists and itineraries for guides.
  • Book guides, extra vehicles and trailers; allocate vehicles and guides on the schedule.
  • Produce accurate quotations, invoices and vouchers.
  • Book reservations at Cape Town restaurants and attractions.
  • Check welcome packs and hand them over to the guides.
  • Book accommodation when needed; check flight arrival and departure information.
  • Prepare water and picnic baskets when required for tours and transfers.
  • Manage vehicles and office cleaning.
