Job Description

Tours and Safaris – Leaders in Southern Africa – is looking for a friendly, energetic, and driven individual to complement our vibrant office environment and to handle international inbound Tour Operator enquiries. The role involves working within the USA & Australia Division or UK & Europe Division and offers the opportunity to work hybrid.

Responsibilities

Handling inbound enquiry from international tour operators, designing tailor‑made itineraries, creating and quoting packages via agent websites, processing quotes to bookings from start to finish, communicating professionally via email and telephone, applying strong sales and negotiation techniques, engaging with Southern African suppliers to secure best products and prices, multitasking between new and current quotes, delivering excellent customer service, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve mutual goals.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years inbound tour consulting experience – FITS/Groups OR Series.
  • Experience working with overseas tour operators – UK/EU/USA and/or Australia.
  • In depth product and destination knowledge of Southern Africa.
  • Experience designing itineraries for ad hoc, tailormade enquiries.
  • Experience creating and quoting packages for agent websites.
  • Attention to detail, figure orientated; MS Office skills.
  • Specialist advice on destination to agents.
  • Strong sales and negotiation techniques to convert potential business.
  • Processing of converted quotes to bookings, start to end.
  • Professional communication via email and telephone.

    A team player, able to receive directive from colleagues when needed.
  • Engaging with Southern African suppliers to secure best product/service at best price.
  • Ability to multitask between current & new quotes.
  • Extend excellent customer service.
