Junior - Mid Designer; Digital, Video & Generative AI

About the role

As a Junior – Mid Designer at Room Raccoon, you’ll play a key role in shaping the look and feel of our digital customer touchpoints and bringing our brand and product story to life. You’ll create high-quality visuals across web, video, social, and campaign assets that position Room Raccoon as a market leader.

We’re looking for a versatile, digitally strong designer who enjoys variety, moves fast, and is excited about using modern tools, including generative AI and avatar-based video, to scale creative output. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, and other teams across the business.

• Taking creative briefs and translating business goals into strong visual concepts.
• Working consistently within Room Raccoon’s brand guidelines and acting as a brand guardian.
• Creating and executing end-to-end campaigns, from concept to final delivery, across multiple touchpoints.
• Bringing our brand and product story to life through compelling, contemporary design executed to a high standard.
• Designing digital-first assets for:
  • Social media content and paid ads
  • Landing pages and campaign visuals
  • Partner marketing assets
  • Website pages and updates
  • Presentation decks and internal materials
• Designing, maintaining, and improving Word Press-based websites and landing pages, with a strong eye for layout, UX, and conversion.
• Designing and assisting with our managed website service offering for hotels, using Room Raccoon’s website building tools to create, customise, and maintain high-quality hotel websites at scale.
• Creating and editing video content, including:
  • Short-form marketing videos
  • Product or explainer-style content
  • Avatar-based videos using generative AI tools
• Using generative AI tools to support design, video, motion, and creative experimentation while maintaining high quality and brand consistency.
• Creating motion graphics, light animations, and digital assets for campaigns.
• Collaborating with translators and using localisation tools to adapt designs for multiple languages and markets.
• Managing multiple projects at once and delivering work to a high standard and within deadlines.
• Working autonomously on briefs while collaborating closely with a tight-knit team.

• English

• A design-related degree or diploma.
• Around 3 years of experience in-house or at an agency.
• A strong portfolio showing digital design, campaigns, and execution.
• Experience designing for B2C or eCommerce brands is a strong plus.
• Strong skills in:
  • Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Canva
  • Word Press or similar website builders
• Confident designing for both digital and print, with artwork ready for production.
• Experience editing and animating video, including graphics and audio.
• A solid understanding of UI/UX principles and how designs perform across digital touchpoints.

• Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
• Figma
• Adobe XD
• Experience with generative AI tools for design and video creation
• Experience creating avatar-based or AI-assisted video content

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
• Highly creative, with the ability to generate ideas and execute them end to end.
• Curious about new tools and trends, especially in AI-driven creative workflows.
• Collaborative by nature, working closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, People, and Support teams.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage priorities independently.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for your work.
• A natural brand guardian who ensures everything looks, feels, and sounds like Room Raccoon.
