Description:

Foschini is looking for an experienced, dynamic and self-driven individual who can join our team in the role of Pattern Designer. The successful candidate will be required to make Patterns using a sketch of a garment from the Designer. The Pattern Designer is responsible for creating required pattern pieces on Lectra in order to ensure successful garment interpretation, proportion and fit.

The successful candidate would form part of a driven and talented team set against a creative and fast paced environment focused on Fast Fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Create Pattern on computer using Lectra and available references
• Liaise with Designer on requirements
• Communicate with Sample Room on requirements
• Measure Garments
• Grading
• Attend Fit Sessions with Designer
• Liaise with retail Technologist
• Handle queries from factories

Requirements:

• Has proven competency in Pattern Making (3-5 years)
• Has good interpersonal and communication skills
• Has a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Has good planning and organising skills and be able to prioritise
• Is reliable and hard working
• Is able to work under pressure to meet regular deadlines
• Enjoys working in a team.
• For this position experience on the Lectra windows system would be advantageous.
• Has the ability to Grade (advantageous)
