Position: Mid-Senior In-House Art Director/Graphic Designer: Global Logistics Company
We have a wonderful on-site opportunity for a conceptual, mid-senior Integrated Art Director/Graphic Designer to join the in-house studio at a global logistics company headquartered in Cape Town. While this role is on-site, there is some flexibility.
As Art Designer/Designer, you will be required to manage creative and design projects while producing high quality work throughout all stages of a project or campaign.

Responsibilities
Create and manage the overall design and visual style for websites, ad campaigns, photo-shoots, and commercial film productions.Study creative briefs and determine requirementsUnderstand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audienceGenerate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with the copywriterConceptualise visuals based on requirementsDefine the visual direction of a campaign and photoshootsProduce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualise ideasDevelop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by handUse the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphicCooperate with the rest of the creative team across different types of mediaWork with copywriters and creative director to produce final art worksTest graphics across various mediaTake work from concept to final execution within deadlinesAmend designs after feedbackEnsure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brandManage and delegate responsibilities to other designers and provide directionsMentor the junior design teamPresent completed ideas to team members / project ownersStay on top of all trends and maintain best practicesRequirements
Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plusMinimum 4 years’ experience in a creative agencyExtensive experience in art direction and graphic designA strong portfolio of concepts, photo manipulation, graphics, and/or compelling layoutsFamiliarity with design software such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.Please submit a PDF/link to a relevant portfolio along with your CV on application.
