Tender Coordinator & Business Development – Cape Town.

The Tender Coordinator & Business Development Specialist will be responsible for managing tender submissions, coordinating bid processes, and contributing to various commercial activities to support business development.

The role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will help drive new opportunities in the education and real estate sectors by ensuring competitive and compelling proposals, while also engaging in broader business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Tender Coordination:

  • Research and identify relevant tender opportunities in the Education and Real Estate sectors.
  • Manage the entire tender process, including bid documentation, proposal writing, and submission within strict deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather information required for tenders.
  • Ensure compliance with tender specifications and submission requirements.
  • Maintain a database of all tender opportunities, submissions, outcomes, and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to strengthen future tender submissions.

Business Development:

  • Support commercial strategies to expand Kosmas Enterprises’ portfolio of clients in Education and Real Estate.
  • Engage with prospective clients and partners to explore opportunities for collaboration.
  • Assist in preparing business proposals, marketing materials, and presentations to pitch services.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams and growth opportunities aligned with company goals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.

Commercial & Operational Support:

  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment of tender commitments and project delivery.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for ongoing commercial activities.
  • Track key performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, trends, and best practices in tendering and business development.

Skills & Competencies

Required:

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in proposal and tender writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess tender specifications and align with company capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in tender coordination, business development, or a similar role, preferably within the Education or Real Estate sectors.
  • Experience working with CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with procurement portals and tendering platforms is a plus.
