Role OverviewReporting to the Manager of the Governance and Control pillar within the Governance, Control and Change (GCC) team of Institutional Capital Services Fund Operations, the Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting all Governance and Control initiatives. The role is instrumental for driving changes throughout ICS Fund operations.
PURPOSE OF JOBReporting to the Manager of the Governance and Control pillar within the Governance, Control and Change (GCC) team of Institutional Capital Services Fund Operations, the Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting all Governance and Control initiatives. The role is instrumental for driving changes throughout ICS Fund operations.
Main Responsibilities And Duties ANALYSIS, TESTING AND IMPLEMENTATION- Perform operational gap analysis and requirements gathering.
- Identify internal operations requirements, improvements, issues and risks on key operations automation and standardisation initiatives.
- Ensure identified operational requirements, improvements to processes or controls have been taken into consideration when setting up and testing any ICS Fund operations initiatives.
- Oversee testing of any operational tools or workflows.
- Facilitate internal automation and efficiency items are set up and implemented, ensuring governance and controls applied throughout.
- Create and maintain analysis, testing and implementation documentation.
- Produce operational process and procedure documentation.
- Facilitate and provide training and support to end users and key stakeholders.
- Lead new application system set up, testing and operational workshops when applicable.
- Produce, maintain and deliver reporting based on agreed requirements.
- Track all new business operational readiness.
- Produce appropriate New Business and operational MI reporting for relevant asset class working groups, committees, CSD and oversight.
- Maintain and evidence appropriate controls and governance.
- Work closely with jurisdictional teams including team leads.
- Produce and present updates for stakeholder, internal communication and presentations.
- Own any ICS Fund operations tool not supported by IT or Fund System Operations.
- Ensure project communication across stakeholders (including client) and project resources.
- Identify and report opportunities for business process re-engineering and produce business requirements specifications when required.
- Manage allocated internal resources when testing or implementing.
- Escalate, when necessary, all issues and risks.
- Build and maintain good working relationships across all areas of ICS and the Group.
- Ensure compliance to JTC project P&P and comply with any audit requests.
- Min 5 years proven experience within the Financial Services industry.
- Business Analysis qualification.
- New Business and Fund Administration background.
- Proven involvement in New business or operational projects.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and organisational skills.
- Logical and critical thinking.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Data and process visualization:
The ability to create and interpret visual representations of data and processes to provide insights to stakeholders. - Strong Microsoft 365 applications skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Accounting and Investor systems, including Investran, Invest One, Viewpoint, Tcube, Pure Funds.
