Position: Junior Buyer – Packaging & Supply Chain – R450k – R350k

Overview

Hire Resolve’s client in the packaging industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Junior Buyer to join their team in the Cape Town, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Buyer in sourcing goods and services for our clients
  • Evaluate and compare vendor proposals and select the best value option
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and vendors to ensure that the best possible deal is obtained
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure that all relevant documentation is accurate and complete
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure that all deliveries are made on time and at the agreed price
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise with suppliers, vendors, or clients
  • Maintain and update purchasing records, reports, and price lists

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • At least 1-year of experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure that all deliveries are made on time and at the agreed price
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise with suppliers, vendors or clients
  • Maintain and update purchasing records, reports and price lists
