Overview

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading player in the agriculture industry in the Western Cape. They are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join their team and lead their procurement activities in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of agriculture inputs, equipment, and services
  • Manage supplier relationships and conduct negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing
  • Oversee the procurement process from request to delivery, ensuring timely delivery and quality control
  • Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and improvement
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and develop strategies to meet them
  • Monitor and report on procurement KPIs to ensure compliance with company policies and best practices
  • Mentor and develop junior procurement staff to build a high-performing team

    • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 6 years management experience in a procurement / agri environment
  • Thorough understanding of the dynamics of Agriculture
  • Must be willing to travel when necessary and to work long hours during peak times.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and negotiations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
