Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our client’s team in Cape Town. We are a leading recruitment firm specialising in placing professionals in various industries. This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced company.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement best practices and be able to effectively manage procurement activities to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Planning, Strategy & Risk
Analyse market trends for pricing, availability, lead-time, and capacity to ensure optimal vendor selection.Evaluate supplier risk and develop mitigation plans, identifying alternative suppliers for competitive pricing.Identify, qualify, and manage relationships with new and key suppliers.Participate in and lead select projects.Source to Contract & Compliance
Finalize and approve contracts with contractors and service providers.Implement and adhere to supplier management, local sourcing guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements.Issue purchase orders, compare them to tax invoices, and report discrepancies as needed.Business Partnering & Team
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand organizational needs.Manage key supplier relationships and monitor performance through KPIs, involving relevant stakeholders.Communicate the value and benefits of Procurement to internal stakeholders.Support and drive large procurement initiatives and tenders.Cost Management
Negotiate prices with existing suppliers to optimize costs.Ensure transparency and insights into third-party spending.Contribute to cross-regional initiatives to optimize group spending and share knowledge.Requirements
5+ years in strategic procurement, preferably in FMCGProject and process management experienceExpertise in category management and modern “source-to-contract” processesAdvanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skillsSAP experience preferredStrong stakeholder management and relationship-building skillsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and focus effortsStrong analytical and creative problem-solving skillsKnowledge of contract drafting and interpretationAbility to thrive in a fast-paced global environmentGood understanding of purchasing strategiesFinancial acumen and attention to detailEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Business Administration or other relevant qualification with a proven long-term experience on the jobBenefits
