The Role:

Junior Accounting Clerk
This role exists to support the accounting team with day-to-day financial, bookkeeping, and compliance-related tasks. You will be involved in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with tax administration, and supporting month-end activities. It is well suited to someone at the early stages of their accounting career who is eager to gain hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

- 02 years experience in an accounting or finance environment supporting daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks

- Assist with general accounting and bookkeeping duties

- Process bank statements using Sage

- Support tax-related work and basic tax administration

- Liaise with SARS and manage SARS online submissions and processes

- Maintain accurate financial records

- Support month-end activities

- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team

About You

- Basic skills or some experience in an accounting or finance environment

- Working knowledge of Sage

- Familiarity with SARS processes and online platforms

- Foundational understanding of tax principles

- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

- Willingness to learn and take direction

- Exposure to or experience working on Caseware would be advantageous
