Position Overview An established accounting firm based in Robertson, Western Cape is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Financial Administrator / Bookkeeper to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily financial administration and bookkeeping functions while ensuring accurate record-keeping and financial processing. This role is ideal for someone with practical bookkeeping experience who enjoys working in a professional accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and maintain accurate financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation and processing of client financial records
- Support the preparation of financial statements where required
- Maintain organised financial documentation and filing systems
- Liaise with clients regarding financial information and documentation
- Assist with general financial administration duties within the practice
- Relevant bookkeeping or financial administration experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Experience with debtors and creditors management
- Exposure to financial statements preparation
- Previous experience working in an accounting firm or financial services environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
