Accountant, Tax Accountant, Financial Reporting

A leading dairy producer and manufacturer committed to quality, innovation and sustainable farming practices seeks a detail-oriented and driven Accountant to join its Finance Department

Job Specification
Prepare accurate month-end journals and ensure timely general ledger close
Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including transfers and disposals
Review monthly Income Statements and prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations
Prepare VAT returns, Income Tax computations and Provisional Tax submissions
Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation and accounting standards
Assist with preparation of annual financial statements and statutory returns
Liaise with internal and external auditors and resolve audit queries
Maintain strong accounting controls, policies and documentation



Minimum Requirements
BCom Degree in Accounting
3–5 years’ experience in an Accountant role
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
Strong knowledge of SA tax legislation and GAAP
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced FMCG environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team
