Position: Staff Accountant – R400K – R300K

Overview

Hire Resolve’s client is currently seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time position with a salary range of R400K – R300K per year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
  • GL, Bank, AP, and AR experience
  • Prior experience as a Staff Accountant, or equivalent duties
  • International accounting experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Salary: R300K – R400K (dependent on experience)
  • Responsibilities

  • Recording and balancing bank accounts; processing intercompany transactions and reconciliations; billing monthly invoices
  • Manage Receivables and Payables (keeping track of account documentation):
    Payable and Buying
  • Updating the Business Asset Module (establishing new assets, executing asset sales and transfers current assets, keeping track of depreciation
  • Keep up the Finance and Operational Lease Module
  • Keep track of month-end closing journal entries, such as payments and accruals.
  • Completing the balance sheet reconciliation each month.
  • Handle requests for checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Supports tracking and cash forecasting tasks.
  • Handle payments and reconciliation for netting.
  • Assist JAS Entities in upholding the business’s fixed asset and procurement policies guidelines and practices
  • Assist team in providing management with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Help the manager or controller with the yearly budget and audit
  • Continue to communicate with common JAS service centers
  • Additional tasks and assignments as needed
