Responsibilities
  • Mission Statement: knowledge of and use of mission statement and core values.
  • Guest Focus: ensure each guest receives outstanding service by greeting, acknowledging, maintaining standards, providing solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
  • Profitable Sales: assist the general manager in offering suggestions on how to achieve the budgeted sales and maintain budgeted gross profit in all areas.
  • Financials: control shrink, expenses, and payroll.
  • In-stocks: ensure appropriate stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing, and assortment in restaurant areas.
  • Goals and Objectives: review store trends and recommend changes for maximizing goals and objectives.
  • Policies and Procedures: ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performance Review: continually evaluate and communicate performance issues and actively recruit food service employees.
  • Talent Management: train and develop store food service employees; direct and monitor training and development for employees on the food service team.
  • Freshness and Cleanliness: ensure product quality of all deli food items prepared consistently with state, local, and company standards, and ensure area is clean, neat, and meets company standards.
  • Extra Stuff – additional duties as assigned.
  • To land this awesome opportunity we prefer that you have a high school diploma or GED, as well as 1 year experience in the restaurant industry. In addition, you must complete our training program, be food safety certified, and pass required testing.

    Physical Demands

    The Physical Demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Travel

    Very minimal travel, with the occasional trip to support other stores, pick up product, or attend a meeting.
