Experience caring for Cardiac Stepdown patients.

Description:

Delivers nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses and establishing care objectives.
Defines nursing interventions and provides physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
Documents changes in patient conditions and needs, and re-evaluates care objectives as needed.
Assures quality care by adhering to professional standards and organizational policies.
Maintains cooperative relationships with healthcare team members.
Ensures a safe and healthy patient care environment by following infection-control policies and medication administration protocols.
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Protects the confidentiality of healthcare organization information.
Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions to appropriate team members.
Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess and evaluate patient care plans.
Modifies patient treatment plans based on responses and conditions.
Instructs individuals and families on health education and disease management.
Provides care by reviewing provider orders and communicating the nursing care plan.
Maintains standards of professional nursing care.
Resolves patient issues by conferring with involved parties.
Promotes a culture of safety by maintaining awareness of patient safety needs and advocating for patients.
Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and documenting health status.
Administers medications, wound care, and other interventions while monitoring for reactions.
Prepares patients for exams and assists with procedures.
Explains procedures and treatments to patients and families to ensure understanding.
Recognizes adverse signs and symptoms and reacts quickly in emergencies.
Supervises and delegates duties to unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate.
Ensures compliance with standards regarding patient safety and accreditation.
Performs other duties as necessary to support the organization's mission and values.
