JOB SUMMARY
Provides primary care to patients following established standards and practices in collaboration with physician in the clinic.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTSClinic Duties:
- Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM
- Management of Pulmonary Disease such as COPD, Lung Nodule Management, Chronic Cough, Tuberculosis, and other related pulmonary diseases.
- 12-14 clinic patients per day
Education:
Graduate from accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program.
Certification & Licensures:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Missouri
- BLS Certification
Experience:
- Three years' experience as a family nurse practitioner and Physician Assistant Preferred.
- Experience with Pulmonary Diagnoses preferred.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment
- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public
- Ability to maintain quality control standards and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations
- Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions
- Ability to learn and efficiently utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs
