Registered Nurse, RN/GN - Surgical

Full‑time, 36‑hour per week position at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO. RN will work 12‑hour day/night shifts (schedule to be determined) in the 5H Surgical department.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, maintains professional accountability for assigned patients, evaluates effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers, coordinates care with other departments, upholds patient rights and confidentiality, and performs duties consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

• Up to $10,000 Sign‑On Bonus for experienced RNs
• No contract required!
• ASN to BSN Bridging Program – up to $16,000
• BSN to MSN Bridging Program – up to $16,000
• Up to $7,500 Sign‑On Bonus for new RNs
• RN Loan Forgiveness Program – up to $370 per month toward loan payments (up to $20,000 cap)
• Must start within 12 months of graduation

• Experience:
  
  1 year of RN experience preferred
• Required
  
  Education:
  
  Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN from an accredited nursing school
• Licensure:
  Current RN license in Missouri (or applicable compact) and meeting all state board requirements
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) required; other unit‑specific certifications as required
• Physical requirements:
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs regularly
  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
