Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse I-V, Department Director, Patient Care Manager, Shift Administrator and Vice President of Patient Care, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible and accountable for the quality care of patients assigned by utilizing the nursing process as defined in the Missouri Nurse Practice Act. The LPN will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient and will demonstrate understanding of the unique physical and psychological needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, assessing data reflective of the patient's status and interpreting the appropriate information necessary to provide quality care.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an approved practical or vocational nursing program – required.
• Certification & Licensures:
  Licensed to practice in Missouri or eligible for licensure with a Missouri work permit – required; BLS Certification – required; IV Certified – required.
• Experience:
  
  Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred, but not required.
