POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our team as per diem Home Infusion Nurses. In this rewarding role, you'll provide high‑quality infusion therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. This 1099 independent contractor position offers maximum flexibility, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while maintaining work‑life balance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Administer intravenous medications including IVIG, specialty biologics, and other infusion treatments in patients' homes
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs before, during, and after infusion therapy
- Insert and maintain peripheral IV lines and access central venous catheters (PICC lines, ports, midlines)
- Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy, potential side effects, and home care instructions
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records
- Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to medical emergencies
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control protocols consistently
- Manage infusion equipment and supplies efficiently
- Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care that respects cultural diversity and individual needs
- Willing and able to travel up to 100 miles from Cape Girardeau for patient visits as needed
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- 1 year of ICU, ER, or Infusion Nursing Experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical requirements of home visits
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
- Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Willingness to travel within up to 100 miles of Springfield to see patients
