OverviewUtilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for patient care across assigned beds. Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct‑care givers. Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties in line with our mission, values, and Mercy service standards.
Position Details- Location:
Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO - Department:
Operating Room - Status:
Full‑Time – 40 hours per week - Shift: 8‑hour days (Mon‑Fri) plus additional call hours
- Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus
- No contract required
- ASN to BSN bridging program – up to $16,000
- BSN to MSN bridging program – up to $16,000
- Up to $7,500 sign‑on bonus
- No contract required
- RN loan forgiveness program – up to $370 per month directly toward loan payments ($20,000 cap)
- Must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation
- Experience:
1 year of RN and/or OR experience preferred but not required - Education:
Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN from a school of nursing - Licensure:
Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must maintain license and meet state board requirements - Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire; additional unit‑specific certifications (e.g., ACLS) as required - Physical requirements:
Ability to push, pull, or lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking during shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
