Base Pay
: $19/hour
The PSR program is open six (6) days a week, Monday - Saturday. As a Specialist, your typical work day is from 8:00am-4:30pm M-F, there is one evening shift a week (approx. 7:30pm), and staff rotate Saturday (8a-4:30p) coverages.
What is PSR?The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) programs in the counties of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry and Ste. Genevieve provide a variety of supportive and rehabilitative services to individuals living with chronic mental illnesses. PSR offers opportunities for educational, career, social and recreational activities on site and in the community. The program serves adult clients 18 years of age or older and operates five or more days each week, and with evening activities often planned.
Vans owned by the Center transport members to the PSR and for the community based activities.
You would be responsible for the delivery of rehabilitative services including: community living skills training, recreation / socialization services, pre-vocational skills development, client and family support, and educational assistance. You would also be required to drive the company's 15 passenger van to pick up / drop off consumers at the beginning and end of the day. In this position, you would work with a wide variety of people where no two days are the same.
MinimumRequired Qualifications
- BA/BS/BSW in Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, Criminal Justice Rehabilitation and Counseling or other human services related field.
- A four-year combination of Mental Health experience and post-secondary education may also qualify a candidate.
- Relevant mental health experience preferred.
- Must hold or obtain by start date, MO Class E Driver's License (Class D for IL Residents), and proof of continuous auto insurance. Must also meet CCC's Motor Vehicle Record standards policy and have reliable transportation.
- Must work flexible schedule which includes some weekends and evenings.
