Van Driver/Aide
Location: Cape Girardeau, MO
Full Time: Non-Exempt
Base Pay: $15.42/hour
The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) program is open six days a week, Monday‑Saturday. As a PSR Aide, your typical workday is from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday‑Friday, with one evening shift per week (approximately 7:30 pm). Staff rotate Saturday coverage (8:00 am–4:30 pm).
MinimumRequired Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED/HSE
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, ability to obtain a Class E license, and proof of continuous auto insurance
- Must be able to pass CPR/FA training and ProACT training
- Must have a valid Missouri Class E Driver’s License and a good driving record
- Be able to do physical tasks, follow instructions, and work with minimum supervision
Psychosocial Rehabilitation programs in the counties of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, and Ste. Genevieve provide a variety of supportive and rehabilitative services to individuals living with chronic mental illnesses. PSR offers opportunities for educational, career, social and recreational activities on site and in the community. The program serves adult clients 18 years of age or older and operates five or more days each week, with evening activities often planned.
Vans owned by the Center transport members to the PSR and for community‑based activities.
As a PSR Aide you are responsible for providing support to consumers and PSR staff and for the routine transport of consumers to and from the PSR program. You also assist PSR staff with activities which include clerical, kitchen duties, group work or other tasks as assigned.
