Behavioral Health Technician - Ridgeway

Cape Girardeau, MO
Pay: $17.38 - $19.78/hour + shift differentials
Behavioral Health Technician shift differentials for Evening or Overnight shift at its residential facilities:
- Evening Shift: +$0.50/hour per hour worked on evenings.
- Overnight Shift: +$1.00/hour per hour worked on overnights.
- High School Diploma / GED / HSE
- Must have or obtain a MO Class E Driver's License (no driving test – written test only)
- Must meet agency motor vehicle standards and have reliable transportation
- Continuous auto insurance required
- Full‑Time:
Mon‑Fri 1:00pm – 9:00pm - Floating BHT: shifts vary; must work days, evenings, and overnights; occasionally float with short notice
- PRN: typically 1 shift per week; any shift depending on need and availability
- Maintain a safe, trauma‑informed environment
- Support clients with daily living skills (hygiene, meals, medications, etc.)
- Lead or assist with therapeutic and recreational groups
- Teach emotional regulation, coping skills, and healthy habits
- Document observations and interventions accurately
- Perform safety checks (rooms, belongings, and grounds)
- Provide client transportation as needed
- Assist during behavioral crises and follow emergency protocols
- Track and distribute medications under agency policies
