Overview
Find your calling at Mercy! Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments).
Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to track equipment movement throughout the facility.

Shift: Varies/Rotating
Responsibilities- Transport patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center.
- Perform patient-related activities as assigned, ensuring safe transport and proper body mechanics at all times.
- Maintain PAR levels for equipment in multiple locations throughout the Medical Center.
- Collaborate with co-workers within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments.
- Use Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas and to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
- Licensure: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program.
- Education:
Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
Two years of customer service experience (preferred). - Certifications:
BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED). - Physical Requirements:
Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
