The Dean of the Harrison College of Business and Computing (HCBC) will serve as chief academic and administrative officer, leading strategic vision, fostering innovation in teaching, research, and community engagement, and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.
College OverviewThe college consists of four departments – Accounting, Economics, and Finance;
Computer Science;
Management; and Marketing – and employs over 60 faculty and staff. It serves approximately 1,200 undergraduate majors and 300 graduate students, offering a blend of classroom learning and hands‑on experiences. The college hosts centers such as the Institute for Cybersecurity, the Stamp Cyber Command Center, and the Douglas
C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
- Provide strategic leadership for the college.
- Set long‑term goals for academic excellence and operational effectiveness.
- Champion innovation in teaching, research, and community engagement.
- Develop new academic programs and enhance existing offerings with experiential learning.
- Ensure alignment of the college’s initiatives with university priorities and industry standards.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Lead and manage budgets, fundraising, grants, and contracts.
- Represent the college in internal and external forums.
- Earned doctorate in business, computer science, or cybersecurity from a regionally accredited institution.
- Record tenim of achievement consistent with appointment as a tenured, full professor.
- Distinguished teaching and scholarly achievements.
- Significant administrative and leadership experience.
- Commitment to collegiality and shared governance.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with diverse businesses and industries.
- Capacity to secure external resources through fundraising, grants, and contracts.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Effective budget management experience.
- Advocacy for affiliates including alumni, donors, students, faculty, and staff.
