Purchasing and Accounts Payable Department
Full Time (2 positions available)
Primary Responsibilities
* Processes campus fixed assets forms, maintains fixed assets records, and conducts campus annual inventory reporting
* Reviews vendor invoices and payment vouchers for compliance and data entry into automated system
* Processes purchase requisitions and utilizes automated system to produce and process purchase orders
* Assists with Purchasing Card program processing
* Organizes and maintains electronic and paper documentation and files
* Communicates with University departments and vendors concerning inquiries and discrepancies
* Answers phone calls, responds to email messages, and processes checks and mail
* Provides general clerical support and assistance on other projects for the department
* High school diploma or GED
* Demonstrated experience with web-based applications, preferably purchasing or accounting system
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills
* Demonstrated evidence of math skills and the ability to analyze and reconcile data
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and cooperatively with minimal supervision
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
* Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to customer service
