Overview
Capital Pawn is seeking a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate (role 3263) to join our pawn store locations nationwide. This position offers an hourly wage of $14.00 to $17.00 per hour plus commission on transactions, with the potential to earn up to 8% commission on transactions.
Position SummaryWe are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and supports customer inquiries and problem resolution. The role includes working with a wide variety of merchandise including tools, electronics, jewelry, and in some locations firearms (FFL). The successful candidate will work with the staff to provide excellent customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business, with pay consisting of hourly wages plus commission based on productivity, with the exact pay depending on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions according to policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles cash and negotiable items according to policies and procedures.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Completes required training successfully.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.) in accordance with federal, state, and local law.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants will receive more details about the commission plan during the interview process.
