Overview
Position Summary... What you'll do...
Responsibilities- Upholds the Companys Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing Company policies and procedures, and providing resolutions for Associates.
- Proactively seeks out Associate comments and concerns by meeting with Associates in their work areas.
- Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs; encourages and supports Associates and managers in serving as good members of the community.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with key individuals or groups in the community as the representative for the Company; presents the Companys perspective to external organizations following media guidelines and championing sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts to Associates, customers, and the local community.
- Drives the financial performance of the Facility by ensuring sales and profit goals are achieved, including leading the management team in controlling expenses indexed to sales; develops and implements plans to correct deficiencies in financial performance; oversees budgeting and analyzes economic trends and community needs for forecasting.
- Models and enforces proper Customer service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within Company guidelines and standards.
- Directs the management team in facility operations and communicates with management and hourly Associates about operations, merchandising, and company direction.
- Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting, and forecasting; assesses economic trends and community needs.
- Supports the Academy training environment and store standards by meeting store requirements defined in the Academy Store standards and SOPs; creates an engaging environment within the Academy Store and integrates Academy associates in leadership and store activities to support engagement.
- Advises Academy staff on training curriculum content, engages trainees during store assignments, provides job shadowing opportunities, acts as a culture champion, engages customers within the Academy training format, and maintains high customer service levels.
- Serves as a visible operations champion in the Academy program, welcoming new trainee groups, sharing relevant business experience, acting as an Academy advocate across supported markets, and participating in talent and succession planning in the supported markets.
- Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating plans and priorities, removing barriers, providing resources, and measuring performance; develops contingency plans and supports continuous learning.
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting, training, mentoring, assigning duties, building a team-based environment, establishing performance expectations, conducting evaluations, providing recognition and rewards, coaching for success and improvement, and promoting a sense of belonging.
- Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethics; ensures compliance and supports Open Door Policy; evaluates ongoing effectiveness of plans and initiatives and engages with business partners and stakeholders to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness; supports community outreach events.
