This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant, based in our Cape Coral, FL office. The Senior Accountant will oversee accounting operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The individual is also expected to support budgeting and forecasting, analyze financial data, and provide insights to guide business decisions.
Collaboration with internal teams on tax filing and auditing processes is a key part of the role.
- Own monthly close process across multiple entities (corporate locations, franchise operations, manufacturing)
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Perform bank, credit card, loan, and intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger across all entities
- Ensure proper expense classification and accruals
- Manage intercompany transactions, allocations, and eliminations
- Support accounting for franchise fees, royalties, brand fund contributions, and reimbursements
- Track and reconcile manufacturing-to-corporate and wholesale transactions
- Maintain clean books for lender reporting and ownership review
- Oversee AP workflows, vendor setup, and payment accuracy
- Support AR related to franchise royalties, manufacturing invoices, and wholesale customers
- Monitor aging reports and flag collection risks
- Ensure proper documentation and approvals for disbursements
- Support inventory accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Assist with COGS tracking and manufacturing margin analysis
- Reconcile inventory counts and investigate variances
- Work closely with operations on purchasing and inventory accuracy
- Assist with sales tax, excise tax, and multi-state compliance
- Support annual tax filings, audits, and lender reporting
- Maintain strong internal controls and documentation standards
- Prepare supporting schedules for CPA firm and external advisors
- Work within Quick Books (and related systems) to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Help document SOPs for accounting workflows
- Identify opportunities to streamline close and reconciliation processes
- Collaborate with operations to reduce recurring accounting issues
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as Quick Books, Excel, and financial management systems
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Previous experience in senior accounting roles or management of financial operations
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and tax preparation is a plus
