Come work with multidisciplinary engineers focused on delivering world class Mechanical Ground Support Equipment  MGSE  for the Fleet Ballistic Missile  FBM  Program  You will be responsible for the designs solutions that support the Organization  As an Engineer, you will work with a diverse work force responsible for the development, design, fabrication, test, and delivery of MGSE

Job responsibilities include:

 Independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products

 Review requirements from various sources  stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc   to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products

 Collaborate with peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met

 Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error free, affordable and producible engineering designs

The ideal candidate will have experience with 3

DCAD Modeling in PTC CREO or similar, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing  GD&T , complex mechanical drawing interpretation, experience problem solving complex mechanical systems, have good communications skills  both oral and written   A willingness to travel up to 10% of time and ability to obtain a DOD security clearance is required

* 3  years experience with 3

DCAD Modeling in PTC CREO or similar tools, Solidworks, Auto Desk Inventor, etc

 3  years experience with complex mechanical design model/drawing interpretation

Experience with application and interpretation of GD&T in mechanical design models/drawings

 Experience problem solving complex mechanical systems

 Knowledge of industrial standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS  including AWS weld symbiology

 Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis

 Knowledge/understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems

 Must be a U S  Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Skills:

* Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar

 Experience in Mechanical Ground Support Equipment for assembly of launch vehicles/payloads

Experience with industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards applicable to mechanical systems

Experience with Engineering Data Product release process within the PTC Engineering Product Data Management  EPDM  system or similar

 Knowledge of LM Space command media

Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems

 Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills

 Active DoD Secret security clearance
