THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

Position Responsibilities:

Assess and validate FSEU to ensure safety, reliability, including meeting performance specifications, operational constraints, launch induced environments, site conditions, and energy/environmental regulations. Ensures engineering team assesses conditions, identifying potential failures, determining cause, and issuing corrective actions. Ensures staff perform design, analysis, construction, construction management support supervision, inspection, and engineering services (SIES). Responsible for Engineering Review Board and Configuration Control Board. LCAT compliance verification.

Provides guidance and decisions consistent with NASA and professional engineering standards, reviews technical work for compliance with approved criteria, guides technical approaches and analysis of systems designs. Functions as the senior technical representative of SOCS for technical review and advisory boards, safety, quality and risk reviews. Supports NASA technical, program and planning reviews as requested.

Education/

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or structural engineering. Registered in the State of Florida as a licensed Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural Professional Engineer. CMRP, OSHA 30

20+ yrs in respective discipline; 10+ years leading teams responsible for contract-wide execution of all engineering functions relating to O&M of large infrastructure, hazardous systems environment. Familiar with KSC operations, programs, and launch activities
