Senior Inspector

RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection and Construction Management Division is hiring Senior Construction Inspectors in and around the Orlando Florida, FL area. As a Senior Construction Inspector with RK&K you will strengthen our construction engineering and inspection business while leading complex and routine inspections on projects including highway, bridge, design/design-build projects. Essential Function

• Provide construction management support, including inspection and monitoring of construction structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Fully engage in solving complex problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions
• Monitor the activities of other Inspectors
• Ability to communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors
• Interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and other engineering disciplines on construction projects
• Recordkeeping and reporting as required

Required Skills and Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent plus four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, two (2) year of which shall have been in roadway construction inspection
• Must have the following as required by the scope of work for the project:
• Qualifications
• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and Level II
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and Level II
• CTQP Drilled Shaft
• CTQP Final Estimates I
• FDOT Intermediate MOT

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous roadway asphalt inspection experience
• Critical Structures Construction Issues certification
• FDOT Self Study Computer Based Training (e.g. MSE Wall Inspector)
