IRRIGATION I TECHNICIAN (LICENSED) (FULL TIME)

• We are hiring immediately for a full‑time IRRIGATION I TECHNICIAN (LICENSED) position.
• Location:
  
  TAMU W Texas Gr – 2401 Russell Long Boulevard, Canyon, TX 79016 (openings at other locations within the school district available).

• Schedule:
  
  Full time Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (details upon interview). Flexible for most scheduling needs.
• Requirement:
  Prior experience as a licensed irrigation technician is required.
• Pay Range: $17.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour.

Performs routine labor associated with irrigation management, including digging, pipe repair, head/valve replacement, and small equipment operation.

• Repairs existing underground sprinkler and drip systems, including malfunctioning heads and nozzles.
• Adjusts spray heads for correct coverage.
• Mitigates all irrigation‑related safety hazards.
• Operates equipment.
• Applies a surgical approach to all work.
• Maintains professional communication with technicians, irrigation supervisor, and the general public.
• Deploys for emergency response due to inclement weather (snow, ice, tornado, or other crisis).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Two years of experience in irrigation repairs.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 25 pounds and kneel, bend, or stoop for extended periods.

• Extensive driving, walking, and equipment operation.
• Exposure to extreme weather, pesticides, fertilizers, pollen, paint, and petroleum products.
• Work time: 90% physical labor, 10% training and miscellaneous tasks.
