Responsibilities- Assist clients in activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, as specified by supervisor.
- Supervise clients during activities to enable safe functioning.
- Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as state and federal laws.
- Report significant changes in client’s environment, behaviors, and circumstances to supervisor.
- Monitor client environment for safety hazards and take appropriate actions.
- Pleasant, cheerful demeanor with helpful attitude, even in stressful situations.
- Ability to carry out duties effectively, cooperate, and support colleagues.
- Personal assistance services as defined in TAC 40 Chapter 97, performed by a person at least 18 years old who demonstrates competency.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
- Complete required training.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with physical activities including bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and standing over 75% of shift.
- Ability to recognize differences in sounds and exercise patience, tact, and confidentiality.
- Work with minimal supervision, recognizing changes in clients’ appearance, attitude, and condition.
