• Punctuality, teamwork, and safe operation of equipment; high school diploma or equivalent.

The used vehicle recondition technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and reconditioning used vehicles to ensure they are in excellent condition for potential buyers. This role involves conducting detailed evaluations of vehicles, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring that all work meets company and industry standards.

• Inspection and Diagnosis: Evaluate used vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and aesthetic issues. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to determine necessary repairs.
• Reconditioning Tasks: Perform various reconditioning tasks, including mechanical repairs, and other cosmetic damages.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all repairs and reconditioning work meets industry standards and company specifications. Test drive vehicles after repairs to verify performance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours. Prepare reports for management on vehicle conditions and repair needs.
• Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory of parts and supplies used for reconditioning. Order parts as necessary to complete repairs.
• Customer Service: Communicate with customers about the reconditioning process, explain repairs performed, and provide recommendations for future maintenance.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive technology preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in automotive repair, including experience with used vehicles. Certification from an accredited automotive program is a plus.
