Wage Information
Salary range: $23.60 - $30.95 + ($10 - $20/hour in benefits) + $1,200 yearly tool allowance.

Requirements- U.S. Citizen or permanent resident card.
- High school graduate or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Diagnoses mechanical and operating difficulties of vehicles.
- Repairs defects; replaces worn or broken parts.
- Adjusts and maintains vehicles in proper operating condition.
- Replaces electrical equipment such as generators, starters, hydraulic systems, wiring.
- Conducts road tests of vehicles after repairs and notes performance.
- Operates standard testing equipment used in modern garages.
- Removes, disassembles, reassembles, and installs entire engines, rear-end assemblies, brake systems.
- Straightens and welds broken parts when required.
- Makes emergency repairs and inspections.
- One (1) year experience as a heavy‑duty automotive mechanic with a background in diesel and hydraulics, or successful completion of heavy truck/diesel school.
- Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License within two (2) years of hire.
- Proficient in the use of state‑of‑the‑art tools.
- Excellent physical condition.
