Job Overview:
The Field Mechanic position is responsible for vehicle/equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs of vehicles and equipment. This position requires regular travel and overnight stays for extended periods to support job sites throughout Ohio and surrounding states.

• Conduct vehicle/equipment inspections
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair on vehicle/equipment
• Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems
• Evaluate equipment failures, determine causes, and complete timely and effective repairs
• Use equipment repair manuals and order parts for repairs
• Complete other tasks as assigned

• Possesses mechanical/electrical/hydraulic knowledge of various types of construction equipment
• Self‑motivated, responsible, able to work in all weather conditions
• Excellent problem‑solving and diagnostic ability
• Strong communication skills
• Moderate computer skills
• Working knowledge of various equipment diagnostic software
• Welding skills a plus
• Must be able to stay out of town as required
• Safe clean driving record

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on equipment repair
• Dealer or manufacturer training desirable
• Must have Class B CDL at minimum
