PT Retail Salesfloor Shift Lead

We’re now hiring a PT Retail Sales floor Shift Lead at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, OH!

The chief purpose of the Retail Sales floor Shift Lead is to assist management with providing quality customer service. In addition, Sales Associates must be knowledgeable in each area of the store. Upholding policies, procedures, and standards as well as fully promoting each sale and/or promotion. Serves as an ambassador of GV creating a unique customer experience helping to acquire and retain long-term customers and is passionate about representing the Gervasi brand by greeting & welcoming all guests and be familiar w/Gervasi history, including facts about the property, buildings, owners, etc.

Pay: Starting at $16.00 to $18.00 an hour based on experience

• Accurately and efficiently manage cash register transactions, including sales, returns and exchanges in accordance with the posted return policy.
• Understand website navigation and proactively leverage technology to facilitate the customer experience.
• Identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions using approved selling practices and guidelines.
• Be a product inventory expert – attain the highest level of knowledge of our wine, spirits and luxury lines including features, benefits, and availability (testing may be required with 80% passing rate)
• Proactively monitor for possible shoplifting.
• Follow stocking guidelines to ensure the salesfloor is always guest ready.

• Regular reliable attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Gervasi Vineyard from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees must have the ability to work flexible schedules including day/evening shifts, weekends and holidays as required by the needs of the business. Limited availability (employee changes) may result in loss of shifts.
• Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with the GV Destinations rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of facilities. Employees who violate rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate Liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guest.
• Excellent communication skills, and eye for detail and the ability to multi-task.
