Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- 13-week contract at a hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm recognition are core components of the role
- Epic EMR experience is required
- ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments are completed during orientation, and acceptable scores on both are required
- Travelers must cover at least every other holiday
- Assignments at this health system may not exceed 18 consecutive months, after which a minimum 6-month gap is required before beginning another assignment at any location within the same health system
- Active OH RN license or compact state license currently in hand
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained prior to start
- Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- One recent professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the same specialty required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
