About She Elevates

She Elevates is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls ages 8–15 to become confident leaders, entrepreneurs, and future CEOs through innovative programs, workshops, and community partnerships.

Position Summary

She Elevates is seeking a highly efficient and mission‑driven Grant Writer & Development Coordinator (GWDC) to support community engagement and organizational growth. The GWDC reports directly to the Executive Director (ED). This role is responsible for researching funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, cultivating donor relationships, and strengthening and maintaining community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grant Writing & Institutional Funding:
    • Research and identify grant opportunities.
    • Write proposals, letters of intent, reports, acknowledgements and gift or financial receipts with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT).
    • Ensures deadlines and all required compliance criteria are met.
    • Collaborate on budgets and program data.
    • Creates and maintains a grants calendar and reporting to ED.
    • Support individual giving campaigns.
    • Steward donors and sponsors.
    • Develop sponsorship packages.
    • Reporting back to funder.
    • Track donations in CRM.
    • Support annual giving.
  • Community Engagement & Partnerships:
    • Build and maintain relationships with professionals in the giving community, including foundation officers, trust officers, other directors of development and executives in corporate marketing and charitable giving.
    • Attend community events.
    • Outreach to schools and organizations.
    • Work with leadership.
    • Provide progress reports.
Qualifications
  • Grant writing or nonprofit experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to collaborate in a respectful manner with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
