Injection Molding Process Technologist

What this role looks like day-to-day

When you walk onto the floor at Amba Flex, you become the go-to expert for starting up, dialing in, and improving injection molding processes. You’ll power up the presses to meet the day’s production plan, bring parts into spec with precise parameter adjustments, and keep a close eye on quality so the line never misses a beat. Between cycles, you’ll package finished products, assemble chain components on a semi-automatic “click-machine,” and jump in to troubleshoot any mechanical or process hiccups that arise.

• Launch and optimize injection molding jobs according to schedule.
• Maintain quality and throughput by monitoring and adjusting process settings.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tooling.
• Conduct routine inspections and complete preventive maintenance tasks as directed.
• Record process changes and keep production documentation accurate and current.
• Operate and troubleshoot the semi-automatic “click-machine” for chain assembly to specification.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce scrap and shorten cycle times.

• 5:00am–5:30pm Friday–Sunday
• 10:30pm–7:00am Monday–Friday

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  At least 2 years of hands-on injection molding processing experience.
• Technical depth:
  Solid grasp of molding processes, tooling, and semi-automatic equipment.
• Blueprint literacy:
  Confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Problem-solving & communication:
  Clear communicator with keen attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Equipment operation:
  Safe, experienced use of overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Work style:
  Effective both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Quality focus:
  Skilled with precision measurement tools to uphold tight tolerances.
• Bonus skills:
  Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Expect to stand for extended periods and lift or push completed product up to 90 pounds.
